D.E.N. is the signature skincare line of Dr Mica Engel, created under Dr Engel's Naturals. London-based and doctor-led, it is a clinical response to overcomplicated skincare.

Where it began

“Sometimes, skin needs less.”

D.E.N. was born from a very personal experience.

During cancer treatment, my skin became incredibly sensitive, and suddenly many of the products I had always loved were irritating me. It made me completely rethink my skincare routine.

I stripped it back, removing unnecessary products and many of the non-natural formulas I had accumulated, and started paying much closer attention to what my skin actually needed.

I realised that skin doesn’t always need more. Sometimes, it needs less. Less stimulation. Less complexity. More support.

D.E.N. was created from that philosophy: a considered approach to skincare that supports the skin’s natural barrier and gives it the conditions it needs to recover, rather than constantly asking it to do more.

A den is where you retreat when the world outside is too much. Think of a bear heading into its den for the winter: it rests, recovers, and comes out ready for spring.

That is what we want D.E.N. to be for your skin: a quiet place to hide away from harsh weather, pollution, stress and too many actives, so it can recover and feel like itself again.

Each formula is intentionally minimalist and clinically informed, designed to work in harmony with the skin’s natural physiology rather than against it, and gentle enough for every skin, including sensitive and reactive skin.
